Dublex Inc. röp-interjú 2002.

A Tango Forte nagy sikere keltette fel figyelmemet a Pulver kiadóra. Meg is kerestem 2001. vége felé Robin Hofmann-t a kiadó egyik frontemberét, hogy 1-2 egyszerû kérdést tegyek fel neki e-mailben.


Mana Mana: Mikor alapítottátok a Pulver kiadót?

Robin: A Pulver kiadó 2001. januárjában indult 3 taggal a Dublex Inc.-ból (Rino, Flo és Robin). Tulajdonképpen nem akartunk mi ilyen hamar belevágni egy saját kiadóba, de megtörtént, mivel egyetlenegy olyan kiadót sem találtunk mely kiadta volna a "A Night at Blowshop" válogatásunkat. A válogatás egyébként egy itteni stuttgarti klub a Suite 212 közremûködésével készült.

MM: Tervezitek más vendégmûvészek zenéinek kiadását?

R: Mielõtt elkezdtük csinálni a Pulver-t, már néhány Dublex számot kiadott a Paul's Music kiadó és a Mole Listening Pearls. Természetesen a jövõben is folytatjuk velük a közremûködést. A Pulver leginkább Dublex dolgokat ad ki, de helyt adunk más projekteknek is, például a fent említett elsõ válogatásról néhány mûvész saját EP.-vel jön ki nálunk, mint Telemark (az Aromabar tagja), aztán egy magyar szupersztár Erik Sumo, az ifjonc német Inverse Cinematics srácok és öreg cimborám a Dutch Rhythm Combo. Szóval van dolog.

MM: Mi újság a Dublex háza táján?

R: Eleinte hárman kezdtük, akik a Pulvert alapították, nem sokkal az után bõvültünk 4 fõre. Mindenkinek megvan a maga munkája a csapatban. Én például felelõs vagyok a borítóért és úgy általában a design-ért (ezt tanulja -szerk.) a weboldalért, és Dj-zni is általában én járok el. A produceri munkákért Felix Stecher felel.

MM: Tervek a jövõben?

R: Töretlenül folytatjuk a heti klubestünket a Suite212-ben, ahol rezidensek vagyunk. Jó hely, hogy hájpoljuk az új Pulver kiadványokat. Szeretnénk 1-2 havonta kiadni zenét, és szeretnénk Budapestre menni nyomni egy Dublex szettet. Köszi!

Mana Mana: When did You base Pulver Recordings? And what for?

Robin: Pulver Records was founded in January 2001 by 3 members of Dublex Inc. (Rino, Flo & Robin). Actually we didn't really want to build a label of our own so quickly. But then it happened that we couldn't find a Label that wanted to release our Compilation "A Night At Blowshop" which was a co-production with a familiar Club here in Stuttgart. So we founded Pulver Records.

MM: Do You planning to issue other groups, projects? Who are these?

R: Before we started Pulver Records, Dublex Inc. had already released several tracks on Pauls Music Records (Stuttgart) and Mole Listening Pearls. We want to continue our co-operation with these two Labels in the future. Pulver Records release Dublex tracks, and the work of several other artists as well. Some of the acts that were featured on "A Night At Blowshop" will release own singles on Pulver. For example, Pulver 005 is a track by Telemark (member of Aroma Bar). Pulver's up-coming releases will be Erik Sumo (Hungarian Superstar), Inverse Cinematic (2 German newcomers) and Dutch Rhythm Combo (Felix Haaksman, old buddy of mine).

MM: How was your relationship started with Dublex?

R: Dublex Inc. are 4 guys and 3 of them started Pulver Records. The initial idea was to release only the Dublex tracks that were turned down by other labels.

MM: What wiil be Pulver's next release?

R: Pulver's next release is coming out in March this year and will be Telemark's "Mission E.P.".

MM: Are you Dj-ing nowtimes, make tracks, or just working in the label?

R: Yeah, I still work as a DJ. Furthermore I'm the man for style and art work on Dublex and Pulver. Sometimes I work on the Dublex tracks, but the main producer for the Dublex Inc. tunes is Felix Stecher.

MM: What's your favourite project in present days?

R: The acts released on Pulver Records.

MM: Your location is in Stuttgart. How is like the Stuttgart clublife? Is there mass fans in these styles?

R: The clublife is not too big compared to other cities. But it's a good and solid homebase. We have a weekly club night in Stuttgarts "Suite 212" which is a good platform for promoting Dublex and Pulver tracks. But we're more popular and known outside of Stuttgart, I think.

MM: What are Your plans for the near and distant future?

R: We plan to release new singles every 1-2 months. And we'd love to go to BudaPest sometime and do a DJ-set.
